We had an SPRC meeting last week and are working to plan an appropriate farewell for Pastor David and a welcome for Pastor Rhett. The parsonage is being repaired. Betty spoke with Rev Ansley several times.
He wants very much to meet with both Hillsboro UMC and Forest Grove every Sunday and probably the best way he can accomplish this is to vary our worship times. Both of us have our services from 10 – 11. He will be living at the parsonage so it would be easiest for him to come here first and then go to Hillsboro. He suggested 9-10 for Forest Grove and 11-12 for Hillsboro. We have more members who need to get to retirement homes close to noon so the 9-10 time would be better for us.
Rev Ansley is excited to be moving to Oregon where his family has relatives.
We will keep you posted as to events sooner June. Rev Ansley’s 1st Sunday will be July 6th and Pastor David’s last Sunday will be June 22 nd . On June 29th we will have a combined worship with Cornelius, Hillsboro and Forest Grove in Cornelius.
