Advent and Christmas are probably my favorite seasons of the year. In part, it’s because I’m kind of a
homebody and introvert. The winter season provides plenty of opportunity for holing up at home with a good book and a holiday beverage. Christmas is a cozy holiday. It’s a time of taking shelter against the rain, snow, and cold.
It’s also about the hope of light shining in the darkness. It’s not an accident that we celebrate Christ- mas near the winter solstice. The shortening days and dropping temperatures test the faith of all people. Will light and life come again?…
